I found a pistol fram with the ivey johnson firearm name on the barrel and the grip had the numbers p46935 on it what is it what does it shoot and is it worth anything
Please describe the item in as much detail as possible. Detail does not mean "in good shape" ,describe how the wood is, how much blueing (% of original finish left) there is etc., and anything else you see that may be helpful. Tell us all marking, words, and letters anywhere on the gun...
You are lucky, Iver Johnson only used the P prefix on one model and at one time. You have a Iver Johnson 2nd Model Safety Automatic manufactured in 1906. It is chambered in .32S&W and is considered a blackpowder frame. It is not safe for modern smokeless ammunition.
As far as value, it is impossible to estimate without photos of the gun.
