they need to make it right and send you some goodies to sooth the ill will
I wonder how it's supposed to be held in place. I wouldn't remove the the forearm to see, because they are going to repair it for you, but just wondering how it's held in and why it seems to be a problem for them to get it right out of the factory.
Must be bad luck because they ain't cheap!
Got the return label by email today. Gotta find a plain box to pack it in so no bad guys know what's in it. Clock will start ticking when I hand it over to UPS. If it weren't for this setback, I would be bragging about it--nice walnut, good metal to wood fit, accurate out of the box. Just want it right!
Keep us posted, a friend has one just like yours and has nothing but good things to say about it. He loves his.
Don't blame you one bit for wanting it right.
Stopped at one of our local gun shops. Allen is a authorized dealer for Henry. He says call them and they will send a shipping label immediately.
Sent it off yesterday, looks like it's already in Wisconsin according to tracking number
Dropped off at UPS on Jan 11th and got it back today. Looked all over but couldn't find even the slightest scratch, Good for Henry's sake!! True test will be this weekend when I take it out for a second date. No extras in the box--dang--just an explanation that they replaced the tube and test fired it. Hoping that was the last time it finds itself in any kind of cardboard box.
Less than two weeks? Dang good service there.
I agree Howln, brought me back to the positive side
Hope they got right this time. I have several Henry rifles and have been pleased with them.
Would like to know how it is working. Did they get it right? Seems like a very fast repair. It took me over 4 weeks to get my Victory 22lr handgun back from Smith & Wesson and it was a simple fix.
Only had it out once since getting it back. Performed like I expected, but still a little bruised that it happened in the first place
