Hi,
Looking for a piece of info on the Herter Dial-O-Matic powder measure.
I'm considering one on ebay but I need to know if it suitable for rifle and pistol. For my Redding I needed two cylinders, one for pistol and small rifle and another for rifles.

What is the largest (and smallest) load the Herter can throw accurately?

Here is a link to a very old post (2003) with some pictures: http://www.thefirearmsforum.com/showthread.php?t=10603

Thanks for your help.

I started reloading back in '75 with a complete Herters kit, including the Dial O Matic.
It didn't work well, it didn't throw consistantly, especially with large granular powders. Now, many measures out won't do well in this case, but the Herters was really bad.
I bought an Ohaus Duo Measure to replace it, and it worked far better than the Herters. I still have the Duo Measure, and it's my go to for volume loading by hand, it works great.
