Ive been researching AR platform .308s, and I have come across several forums and people that say "turn and run screaming" from hesse built weapon systems. I'm wondering what makes them bad to own. poorly built? And if they do have problems then if they can be fixed to operate properly

There is no other company related to the AR15 with a worse reputation than Hesse/Vulcan/Blackthorne or whatever they call themselves now.
It is well documented on every gun forum on the internet. They sell rejects, out of spec, poorly repaired and or altered AR parts and complete guns. Once in a while a decent one makes it through but that seems to be rare. And their customer service matches their products.
But if you want to ignore it all please feel free to buy one of their products.
