I have an HK USP40C/LEM varient7 which has an 8lb trigger pull. It is available from HK with a 4lb trigger.
What I need to know is the different parts that HK installs to change the trigger pull AND what the part numbers are.
I know that there is some wise person out there who can help me with my problem.
To complicate matters; I've written to HK and they seem to be in the dark. Not that I find that unusual.
Steve-aka-sck are you out there?

Smoky - I honestly don't know anything about 45's. I tend to shoot rifles and not handguns but first let me welcome you to the boards and then let me say that someone should be by in a bit to try and help you out.

If you already have a LEM pistol, then the six parts that make up that modification are already in there. The trigger pull weight is accomplished by changing one spring. HK does not sell that spring seperately to my knowledge.
Call HK on the phone, you'll get better results. Be prepared to send the pistol to Virginia.

Dr. Which spring is it? The take up on the LEM is so much better than the conventional DAO but the let off is way too stiff. I guess they don't want us to shoot anyone.

It's the hammer spring - I believe. The LEM's trigger pull is so much better because the modification "pre-cocks" the pistol to a big degree.

You are absolutely correct, the pre-cock is so much more manageable. They then put the 8lb pull on the end so the dim bulbs would not get the "accidental" discharge. The down side being the let off is just too hard for real accuracy. Maybe it will get better; I've only run about 500rnds through it.
