    Very cool, I love seeing finds like that. For me personally though, I'm with accident, I want guns to shoot.

    Would it not be better to show the rifle or is it just a collector thing to leave it wrapped up?

    Probably a collector thing to keep it wrapped, but i'd still like to see it. But that's just me. I love to see pics of great guns!:)

    I agree that the wrapping is nothing to get worked up over. Unwrap that rifle! Clean the grease off, get a scope mount, and take some decent photographs!

    The bulk of that value is the fact that it's as issued. I'm not saying I'd pay that, but out of 6 million, there's .00001% of them like this.
    Collecting ultra rare Garands is out of my league, I just like the history.
