I found this in a family closet. I am looking for information as to when this might have been manufactured?
Thank you in advance for your help. The only markings on the gun I found are shown in the pictures. Some writing on the top of the barrel and I think "MARBLE" on the sight.

I bought mine in the 1970s. And I think they are still being made but under a different name and company.
Nice rifle and most of them were rather good shooters.

Thanks, so this is a relatively new rifle made in the mid to late 1900s?

Made and sold by Numrich Arms in the 1970's. Hopkins and Allen, the famous gun company from the 19th and early 20th century had nothing to do with it except Numrich owned the rights to the name and used it to market them.

Marbles is a very old maker of sights and knives....and probably some other stuff. The quality of their sights was very good.
