I have a Hopkins and Allen single barrel 16 gauge, serial no. VB98B, not decorative and in good condition. Would like to know when was manufactured and also how much it is worth. Company in Norwick, Conn. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks. The serial number could be V8988.

Welcome to the forum. There are no known Hopkins & Allen serial number records, and the company closed in 1915.

If you have the usual break open type single barrel, they usually sell for less than $100. If it's the older lever action type H&A, it will sell for more.
