Hi all
Just received 500 free 45 cal 185gr hp/xtp bullets from Hornady
I have a bunch of 45 long colt brass and would like to use them for reloads
Anybody have any load data and powder info for this combination?
I know 185 gr is a lite bullet for 45colt but I want to use up what I have on hand if possible.

If the diameter of your bullet is .451 then its better suited for use in 45acp. I just looked in my 7th edition Hornady manual and the lowest jacketed they list for 45 colt is 250 grain xtp.

Yeap, .45ACP bullets, not .45LC bullets.

.451" is 45acp and .452" is 45 colt.

depends on the bore of your barrel,, there are variances from manuf to manuf and tolerences of production
