With all the numbers crunching going on with the mess media, has anyone heard anything about the Pig's? Were they killed? How about Pig's in this country, have Hog farms been quarantined in this country ,and their workers ? Can human's pass the virus to animals? Could this flu bug affect the distribution of Pork product's? Does this country import any pork from MeeeeHeeeCooo or China? Where did the Pig's come from originally that passed the flu onto a human, and was the whole herd infected? Makes me wonder How about them Pig's ?:confused:

I suggest learning a bit about retroviruses. Most of our modern concepts of dealing with these events began when Louis Pasteur noticed milkmaids catching cow pox were immune to small pox. And yes, transmissivity works "both ways". Cattle caught tuberculosis from humans.

Virulence is not a survival trait for any disease. Killing its host before they have opportunity to pass it on doesn't work. Flus of all sorts are characterized by high mutation rates so look for this one to evolve even before a vaccine can be produced.

IMO what we have here is yet another example of "government-induced panic" -for whatever nefarious reason(s), the various political entities can invent/sell/require - to further their pet political pogroms. >MW

The flue is a combination of avian, human and swine genes, most recently from swine. Very low probability of getting it from pigs. Also, about 35,000 die from the flu every year. We have less than 100 cases in the US total, yet it's panic time.

Yes, there's a threat, but it's from the media and government, not from the flu.

dont you see its only the government that can handle a problem like this. we need to pass the socialized medicine to cope with this.
