My local shop is a bit higher than that, but it's always been a bit high on everything.

I personally haven't seen an AR in the local guns shops for a while. My son called me form Wally World a few weeks ago and told me that they had a DPMS Sportical for $579. I told him to grab it but he didn't have the money.

I was over at the local Wally World a little earlier and they had two (2) AR15/M4 rifles in their show case. One was a Bushmaster and cost $869 and the other one was a Colt and it was $1479. There was no ammo except the lesser used type, of course there was no .22 to be seen.

I am starting to see them again. A guy I work with just picked up a dpms at a gun shop in southern Illinois for around $700.

Prices are normal around here. Some manufacturers have gone up slightly but nothing extreme.

In Utah they are about the same. every local gun shop i have been to has AR's as well as 223 and 5.56. however the larger places like Cabela's and Scheels dont have any ammo or AR's. yay for the local guns shops!!

Cabela's in Mitchell, SD last week had Fiocchi .223 with 50gr vmaxs for $26.99/50 and some Herter's (S&B) 9mm FMJ for $14.99/50. I picked up one box of the Fiocchi for me and two boxes of the 9mm for my son.

He's been paying $24,99/50 for Federal 9mm FMJ, which wasn't bad considering what it was lately.
