does anyone know how this affects the site? are problems w/ bandwidth etc. gonna arise? are we gonna have to move to a bigger server? are there gonna be dues or "subscriptions" ? i don't know how this site is set up, let alone how all this stuff is handled. just don't want to see 2400 pages of crud, (no offense), cause this site problems.

Most people are probably linking pictures from elsewhere... IE my images are put in [ img ] and [ /img ] tags (without spaces). This means it loads the image from it's source instead of from TFF, meaning it is not using TFF bandwidth. As for regular text posts the bandwidth would be negligible. Bandwidth is used up anytime you view anything, so even if you come to the site and don't post anything it is using up bandwidth. Generally speaking things like bandwidth are a concern of the past, it got to the point where bandwidth and storage space got to be so cheap even the cheapest servers have plenty of both (though not every server is that way by any means).

The count to a million thread seems to be fun for those who post on it, so why not?

The internet cerainly makes it a lot easier than it would otherwise be. Just search images for a specific number and there are dozens choices.

The World is going to end on 21 Dec 2012 anyway:eek:, so I don't think we really need to burden ourselves with bandwidth problems.:D
