Hungarian FEG SA2000M Magazines

I theoretically ordered 2 single stack (10 round) mags for my AK-47 in 7.62x39. If these are 10 round mags I'll eat my hat though I'll admit they are definitely single stack mags.

They also do not fit my AK but hey that's okay as well as I'm only out $10 for the two. But do any of you have a clue as to what they might fit? So far it looks like my ammo fits - but they're weird looking mags to me anyway.

Damn strange though because they were supposed to be for my AK - oh well be back soon.

Sorry, Doc but this is somewhat fuzzy. I've got to go to the store and get some stuff (batteries for one) and I'll try to take a better picture with this camera.

Sure do look like an AK mag, does it come close to fitting? Maybe you just need to use a little "wiggle" to get them in.

Guys, I'm not even sure it's for 7.62x39 ammo - I could only get 2 rounds in the mag before it wouldn't let me put any more in. I'll check it out real good early tomorrow - but it's still not what I ordered (they are a lot longer than my 10 round mags - so if they do carry more they won't be legal for my AK and I won't use them).

I'll let you both know how this goes.

Update - nope there is no way it was designed for my AK - the whole mag is far too narrow at the top compared to mine and it literally just rattles when I try to seat it in place - it's not made for my rifle that's for sure. And the search continues (lol) for what it belongs to.

I had to look back through my books to see which rifle you have, then it snapped. You have the Hungarian FEG SA2000M, which takes a very specific magazine. Looks like this:

The mags you have probably fit the WASR-10 which is a Romanian AK. The Hungarian mags are getting harder to find, and actually are getting a bit pricey. If you can buy them under $25 each, buy as many as you can.

AntiqueDr - I bought 3 mags that fit my AK for $40 (that included shipping).

Well I guess I can put these on the boards for sale to someone eventually or see if I run into someone who has a need and I'll give the mags to them.

And so the search goes on for more mags (lol).
