I have been trying to reload for a Springfield XD9 for a while now. The problem: everytime I would work up a load to try, the C.O.L would get longer. So much that the slide would not lock up. I tried to get a tighter crimp evertime. Little by little. But nothing. By the 8-10 rounds same problem. Tried different powders, bullets, reduced loads. Nothing. I knew I could find the answer here. I started lookin' & readin'. I then went from seating & crimping at the same time to seperating them. I now seat with one die & crimp with another die. I shot over 200 rounds today with this new setup. Not one problem, none. Thanks to this forum I was able to research & correct the problem. The more I shot this pistol, the more I enjoyed it. I'm not a pro at shooting, but today was a good day for me. 3" groups at 50 ft. :)
