I have been shooting my entire life. 50 plus years.

I was on some huge sites and they have turned into cesspools. No common courtesy. Posting threads just to tick people off. Answers just to tick people off. Even the technical forums have become filled with personal attacks if anyone disagrees.

I find this place full of courteous thoughtful people who have different opinions but post in a respectable manner. Not full of 12 year olds.

Thanks to the members and moderators who keep this place an informative site with appropriate posts and common courtesy.

A little like having a talk with a neighbor over the back fence. Usually about guns but sometimes other things serious or funny. Like with your neighbor you don't agree on everything but things stay civil...mostly.

Thank you! We try hard to keep this place just like where we all want to be. And it's a favorite for many folks because of this.

    Agree with your assessment JONWILL-
I've cut bait with several message boards I've otherwise found fun/useful because of the accepted foul language, personal attacks and general acrimony. Have decided not to participate on any site that finds these things acceptable. Ignoring those things means it is accepted IMO.

So yes, thanks Mods for managing the site in a fun fam friendly way. Bravo!

I'll echo, the members that stick around share the idea that conversation should be respectful. The mods and staff do a super job. This is why I stay here for sure.

I agree with all the above. We are friendly, like to have a good conversation and a good laugh. The mods do a great job keeping things in line.

We enjoy helping and advising each other and newbies. We all had to start out somewhere; others helped us out, so we are just passing on the good turns.

I do one social media place to keep up with the family and some political stuff, then it's straight over here.

I couldn't agree more. I spend more time here when on the web than anyplace....unless I'm looking for something I never seem to find...lol! My former "favorite" site seems to be doing everything JON mentioned and it appears that in the process it is self destructing.

Sometimes I think this site is a lot like our country in its earliest years. John Adams said, "our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other".

To me that means a person acts like an adult. Is responsible for themselves. Doesn't insult or abuse people just because they can. Is courteous, tries to be helpful and practices restraint in their speech. In short, tries to be a Christian man or woman. That is what I see here, on this site. I appreciate it greatly and, as with others, offer my gratitude to the mod's and others who no doubt help run the site.
