I'm looking at trading for an I J target sealed 8
With serial # M10173. It has 6" octagonal barrel and looks to
Be in great shape. The barrel looks blue and
The frame is a copper color.
What year is it from? What's it worth? Should the barrel wiggle slightly
With the hammer down?
I have a couple of picture but not sure how to post them.

I misted that the barrel wiggled, it is the cylinder that's wiggled, not the barrel.

M10173 was made in 1940.

Not sure what kind of cylinder wiggle you mean, but the cylinder is only locked at moment of firing on these.

Thank you for the info, I was just concerned that it may have a little bit of cylinder slop with the hammer down.
I thought that this may make it dangerous to fire.
I did dry fire it and hold the trigger down to simulate the fire position and it does seem to lock fairly tight.
I also noticed that I made a mistake on the serial number, Its actually M10178 which I assume was also made in 1940.
I am attempting to attach a photo.
