I've been kinda', sorta', trying to follow ( see some logic in ) these various "protests" that are going on . I'm not able to make much sense out of what these folks are saying. From London, this A.M., I lifted the
following "blurb" that I would , really, like someone to convert to plain American-English ( in 5,000 words or less ).

"Activists carried banners with slogans such as 'We are the 99%' and 'Bankers got a bailout, we got sold out'.

Among them was Lorena Fuentes, 27, a charity worker originally from Vancouver, Canada. She said: 'I'm here today because I can't see why you wouldn't be and I feel that this is one of the few moments in history where it's not a protest, it's an actual movement that's taken root.
'We're trying to challenge this myth that there are not enough resources to go around.' "

OR, am I looking for something that doesn't exist ?

Maybe Hornady should sponsor the Occupiers - it would be a great tie-in for that new Zmax ammo.

In a word and the short explanation they are "idiots". The long venison is that they have no constitutional right to peaceably assemble or otherwise against a person or company. The first amendment only provides for such assembly for those who have redress of grievances against the government. Additionally their main bitch seems to be special interest getting their way with lawmakers. I prefer to think of it this way. The law maker is the whore and the special interest is the john. Meaning if there is no whore there is no john, so why don't these idiots go stand in front of the US capitol which they have the constitutional right to do and offer to throw all of the whores out of congress starting with Nancy, Harry and Chuck.

The Occupy Wall Street protesters fall into two groups. The first group are all communist! The second group are all stupid because they don't have a clue as to why they are there! It's been a month now, and thousands of these folks are still camped out protesting. Why haven't they lost their jobs? Because they didn't have one to start with! The money keeps rolling in for them while they are there. SS $$, welfare $$, food stamp $$, and the unions, and other organizations like moveon.org are hauling in food, and water to keep these idiots there!

Communists, marxists, socialists, what have you. I believe that is who is behind most of this, whether or not most are card carrying members of any organizations espousing these philosophies, the majority are at least in agreement with a number of marxist principles.

You may or may not have noticed that a lot of changes have taken place over the last 50 years. Those advocating world wide socialism have been steadily advancing, slowly picking up new converts with each generation. This is no accident but a well thought out strategy. The commies long ago figured out that working on the inside of their enemy's borders and utilizing a nations own institutions to spread their influence is alot easier and less costly than engaging the free world in armed conflict.

Now they are fully infiltrated into our schools, labor unions, news media, film and music industry, and even government. You need look no further than the white house to verify that. You would think that conservative capitalists could retake the country in the same way, but once people have latched on to the idea that they can vote themselves largess from the public coffers, trying to reinstill a respect for private property and true economic freedom and justice is like trying to get someone off crack.

This may all end up in armed conflict but I believe we will lose. The best we can do is go down fighting for our beliefs. Oh well, at this point, with where the world is headed, I'm glad my time is winding down.

I can't help making a connection between all of these protests in the western world and the arab spring uprisings in the middleeast. Personally I believe there is a satan inspired spirit of rebellion on the rise that will introduce us all to even more radical thinking by many people which will usher in the time of the antichrist. But I suppose that thought is better left to the religious forum.

Muddober, you are mistaken on the 1st amendment right of the people to peacably assemble. It does not have to be for the express purpose of redress of grievances against the government. It can be for any reason as long as it respects private property rights, local ordinances, and does not disrupt or restrict the publics movement and ability to conduct it's lawful business.

Occupy Denver protesters met with the Mayor to work out staying in the park at night. To his credit (for a Demmy), the mayor refused permission, citing having to do the same for other groups.
What I don't understand is why he met with them in the first place. They represent less than 1% of our population, and support forms of Government (or a completet lack of it, as many are Anarchists) that the Mayor himself wouldn't support. They have a right to protest, I support that. But the Law is, no one in the park from 11 pm to 5 am, and I support that too.
The kid gloves handling of these fools is what bothers me most. When the NRA convention was here we were recieved with far less respect than these bozos, and we brought huge amounts of money and profit, whereas these clowns are costing us tons of Police overtime and city crews for cleaning up.
    It's just stupid.
Last night, for some strange reason, the sprinklers came on in the park, soaking many. Gosh, how unfortunate! :)

I absolutely LOVE the reports now that there are thieves among the protesters stealing food, cell phones, computers and all sorts of personal items. There has also been a kidnap/rape at one in Cleveland and in Seattle a protester was arrested for exposing himslf to children. Hmmmm didn't hear any of this at Tea Party rallies. I am sure there is a good reason though.

Carver is right on with his description of the two groups. Make no mistake about it that they want to destroy a system that they cannot deal with. They lost their jobs (some of them) and now want some "relief" from the government. But what they are proposing is the destruction of the work and reward system. Sure there are some crooks. Sure there are some nasty rich people. Sure there are some who reap benefits that they should not get. But that is life and the system of freedom of choice that we have.

Let's see; the American middle class is shrinking. Working class incomes are at an all time low. Young folks are graduating collage with lots of debt and very few job opportunities.

On the other hand, Corporate profits are at an all time high! Their whores in congress keep giving away our tax dollars in corporate welfare, such as the $3 Billion in subsidies to big oil.

The New Aristocracy of America, (our King) is what folks collectively call "Wall Street." King Wall Street owns Washington.

If low to middle class commoners are going to petition anyone with their greivances it might as well be King Wall Street. King Wall Street's politicians don't have time to listen to the little people. Politicians have to grovel to Wall Street for money to pay for their political campaigns.
