    There is absolutely no way this is real. Nobody that stupid would last beyond the age they start crossing the street without holding moms hand.

    I saw this same picture in another gun forum. One person commented that he believed that the person pictured had just finished PT in the sandbox. He was getting chow in the mess hall, and that he was required to be armed, surrounded by upwards to a hundred other armed military personnel, the belt was velcro, and he did not have one in the chamber, condition 3 being standard within the wire. Not sure about how true any of this is, but it does seem to fit the picture. Not real sure it justifies what we see, either.

    I agree that it does make sense. Look at the OD green t-shirt, black shorts (at one time this was the Army's PT uniform), and a well used Beretta 92 pistol. It does appear that the other person behind him is also armed.
