looks like I will put it in the cabinet next to the 5 other jugs of shotshell powder then. I bought it thinking it was what JLA recommended for a .243 built in 1966. I had a text saying what to try but it got deleted. hint-hint Josh
.243 needs slow burners on par with .30-06 and .270 loads. One of my fav powders in .243 is Alliant Power Pro 4000MR. IMR4350 is another fantastic one. and for bullet weights below 85 grains IMR 4064 and 4007SSC are fantastic.
700X is widely used in the smaller capacity brass pistol loads. I use it in my 38 special loads when using the lighter bullets. A pound of powder will last a long time. It is all I used for trap shooting. Which I no longer do. Eyes. If you don't load shotgun shells and don't have a pistol with a small capacity such as a .380, .38 special, 9MM. give it away to a friend that does. They will gladly take it off your hands.
