Which Generation is the MX12? Was it a sporting gun or used as a competition gun to compete in national/international events?

I have a Gen 3 Mx8 in 12 ga. I bought for my daughter when she started USA Shooting Olympic Trap competitions. It was just over 7K.
I also have the MX8 I bought my daughter in 2017, which she used to win the Bronze Medal at the National Championships and finished top 5 in both the Italian Cup and Umbria Cup. It was just over 12K.
