First want to say hello to everyone, Its been awhile since iv been on. Anyhow, I just received a rifle from my Great grand dad(which served in WWI.) Here is what I can see or have heard. Its a bolt action with a magazine. Mfg. by P. Stevens, Maastricht. If i remember correctly it has the date 1873. All numbers match on the rifle. And the round seems to be a 11x52 (now I have seen an "R"after this round too). Question is where can I find the history about this rifle? And a big question are there any rounds out there left? I would really like to clean it up, put a few rounds through it and just add it to my collection. The picture below seems to be the correct rifle.
