Very happy with this purchase its quite nice for the price! Wanted an Uberti but wasnt willing to dish out $300 + bucks. So the Pietta seems tobe just fine and will hopefully work well for me like it has done for soo many others. :)
Hope I mannage to post these pics without screwing up..lol

Ty, its my O'l Smithy M66 Combat Magnum.= Dubbeded by Law Enforcement.
It's same exact model used by Police at the time when a bigger caliber was needed to shoot through car doors and it did the job good.. too good! lol Its an oldy but a goodie that ill never let go, it was my Grandpas when he was a Cop many years ago.

Good for you. I just bought an 1858 repro myself and had a great time a couple weeks back. I hadn't shot BP since I was maybe 18 which was 30 years ago. Got a bug and bought one just for fun. Enjoy your purchase

I think Pietta and Uberti have both been bought out by Beretta. I know for a fact Uberti is now owned by Beretta. They make the guns for a lot of the other companies also.

Uberti is owned by Beretta. Uberti guns are still made by Uberti with no interference from Beretta. Beretta also owns Stoeger, Tikka, Benelli, Sako, and Franchi. Pietta owns Pietta.

Well done x! If you two don't stop this, between you and Firpo, I'm gonna have to dig out my '51 Navy and '60 Army....:D I don't remember the last time I fired either and that's a sad commentary on me! There's a couple flintlock pistols in the toy box that need fired also.....:(

Aha! Awesome brotha' Ty for the reply.
Dig those suckers out n clean em up and try and find time for the range! Ive never owned a flintlock before nor any other BP firearm, this 1858 my first one and I think im addicted to them. I own many handguns and rifles but the black powder thing has somehow escaped my mind over the past several years ive been collecting. And shooting c&b seems tobe more expinsive then regular firarms. U needs cap'bp'wads'bullets'lube. You can make this stuff yes' but im abit too lazy for that soo imma just buy my stuff for now until I get REALLY addicted then you guys will see me buying more of em lol Probly wont ever get an Uberti tho too pricey.. id go put a dp on another Glock or sumthin, thus kinda why I got the cheaper Pietta. But knowing myself imma get hooked and end up buying the expinsive casehardend version/uberti but we'll see. And personaly despite mine not being an Uberti & being a bigger gun the fit n finnish on mine is great! Good thing I got a newer pietta cuz I hear the other older models are not as good for small reasons of course nothing major.
