Got this at an estate and have not been able to find much about this Pointer field grade in the .410 bore. Early numbers matching, original buttplate, good case bluing, small chip to stock at receiver, good shooter, tight action. Left as I found it. The book says really high on these, do not know. Are they scarce and is this a keeper? Thanks

I wouldn't call them "scarce", more like "not commonly seen" or yeah, I guess you could say "scarce".

If you want a nice older Ithaca Lefever .410 side by side, definitely a keeper. I'm sure others would like to make it a keeper for them.

Looks to be in very nice original condition over all.

Too bad about the chip out of the stock at the top tang right side. I suspect it has 26" barrels and if you look on the barrel flats, you will probably see a "2" stamped under the right barrel and a "4" under the left barrel. Those are Ithaca choke designations so the right barrel being a "2" is a Modified choke and the left barrel marked "4" would be Full choke.

Hope this helps.
