My wife tested positive for covid. One of her coworkers at the jail tested positive before her so this is likely where she got it. With her working at a jail, we figured it was a matter of time before she got it. She slept for 2 days and felt really crappy with an off and on fever, but she's getting better now. I'm starting to feel crappy myself, so I more than likely have it as well. I am going to call this day one of symptoms as today is the first time I've felt like poo.

So, so far my symptoms are:

Lethargic

Stuffy nose

Slight headache (back of the head and eyes)

It very much feels like a cold/sinus infection. No cough or sore throat. My wife had a slightly sore throat and no cough, so we will see if I experience the same thing. Will update tomorrow.

Sorry to hear you're feeling the symptoms.

Thanks for promising the diary of symptoms. We'll be watching. And praying for a fast, complete recovery for you and your wife.

Thank you, much appreciated. My wife is a type 1 diabetic, so she is in the "at risk" category. She's doing fine now, but still isn't 100%

I think I had it 6 weeks ago. Achy, tired, headache, fever, lost taste for a day. Dr said go get tested. Tested neg, waited 3 days got tested again, neg. Fever lasted 4 days then tired for a week. I never tested pos but Dr thinks I had it.
Just because you are in the house with someone pos doesn’t mean you will get it. A friend was sick for a week and a half before she was hospitalized and died two days later. Her husband never felt bad, didn’t get sick.

Hope you feel better soon. The strange thing about the Chinese virus is that it's completely unpredictable. Some get it and never notice, other die.
I'm pretty sure I had it early in the year. But I didn't see a doctor, so I'm not sure. I was cooking a fever for four days. That is the only time in my life that a fever lasted more than 24 hours. Didn't have any respiratory issues at all.
My wife never got sick at all.

It's bizarre, that's for certain. I'll offer up a prayer as well. I kinda like havin' the "Greatest Physician" in my corner.

Im not a person of religion, but ill send prayers anyways, it couldn't hurt. As an immunocompromised person with a terminal heart condition (Ascending Aortic Aneurysm). I understand the fear people have of the Rona, but personally dont fear it myself. My son(18) works in fast food and my wife works with the developmentally disabled in a casino hotel. odds of it making it into our house at some point probably pretty good. Both my daughters (11&16) are currently doing distance learning for school.

I forgot to mention my wife has polycystic kidney disease, so im sure she has some immunity issues to.

we had back in October/November, the "Undiagnosed upper respiratory illness" as our local clinic was calling it, fever, coughing, sore throat, breathing felt like a bad asthma attack, both my wife and son were put on inhalers. lasted about a month with a lingering dry cough for another few weeks. the school called it the "crazy bronchitis flu thing" our school had 186 kids out sick and several teachers, there is just under 500 kids in that school K-12. we are convinced it was the covid thing, my doctor said at that time 90% of his patients were the "chest cold".

Kathy and I had similar symptoms about the same time frame, it came home with the youngest grand daughter from school it hit her pretty hard it gets her every year, turns into bronchitus and she has to use an inhaler or nebulizer, I think it's called. The local doctors just labeled it the Cottage Grove crud, said it's going around and it hangs on sometimes for several weeks before you get better. Sister in law was sent to the hospital with pneumonia and was on a ventilator just after the first of the year, covid was just starting to be a thing in the news but wasn't as far as we knew it in the US at the time. I'm sure she would have been diagnosed as a covid patient without a test if it had happened to her a week or two later. Anyway three days in the hospital and she fully recovered. Jean is one tough old lady, nothing gets her down for very long, not even a broken back after a car wreck, three weeks after that one she was out in her yard tending her flower beds :)
