I have inherited this IJ. I know it is a .38 s&w hammerless and no safety that i can discern thats about it I was looking at older threads and From what ive seen my guess is its a 3rd model from 1910 to 41. But i am in no way knowledgeable about these firearms So i could be totally wrong. Anyone who can shed some light, It would be greatly appreciated. and maybe return the favor in the near future

I have the same gun made in 1924. How about that trigger pull? Mine was my wifes grandfathers issue gun from the city of Chicago.

Thank you for the welcoming. As well as your quick response! Just one last thing if you do not mind this is the third model and is safe to fire with modern ammo correct? I just do not want to assume and something catastrophic happens.

Sounds like it had an interesting life and yeah its got heck of a trigger pull!
