Saw an Iver Johnson 25 acp in LGS. It looks just like a baby browning, slide stamped Iver Johnson. He says its a rarity and wants $300. I have an original baby browning and I have to admit I'm intrigued by this Iver copy. My question is...is it a rarity? (I have seen sites that say 300 made) and is $300 a fair price? (Near excellent condition) Thanks in advance.

The Iver Johnson TP 25 is a Erma based design, closer to the small Walther than the Browning. Made from 1981 to 1988, Don't know haw many were made. I believe Mr. Goforth discussed the firearm before in this forum but I can't seem to pull the info.

This is apparently the "Compact 25" made off and on 1988-1993, and less than a 1000 made because of problems.

It was a Bernadelli design, with slide and frame made by Iver Johnson and internal parts made by Bernadelli.

May I ask where your information on "less than 1000 made" comes from? I am not disputing the number but I own one of the pistols and ve been able to find no reliable information on production numbers. Thanks. Rick
