I was going through my safe the other day and found a pistol that belonged to my great great grandmother. She carried this pistol for protection after her husband died. I was just looking to date it and just learn a little more about it. B623xx is the serial number. It is a small framed, 5 shot, hammer less top break pistol. I also can’t figure out the caliber 32 s&w fits but is about 1/4 inch to long. I will attach pictures. Thanks for any help

Nice family heirloom. I do believe that revolver is chambered for .32. S&W, but suspect the round you are trying to chamber is a .32 S&W Long.

Your revolver is a 3rd Model Safety Automatic hammerless and was made in 1914.
It's designed for smokeless ammunition and is chambered in .32S&W "short".
The ammo you were trying to load is 32S&W Long.
