I recently received a Jim brown guaranteed single shot .22 from my grandfather. He got it Christmas of 1948 and he says it was bought from a pawn shop used for $12 dollars. I’m looking to find more info about the rifle but I have found next to nothing online about it. And obviously given it’s age it has no serial number. Any insight into the rifle would be appreciated and I can provide pictures if needed. Thanks!

Just ran a search and found that the rifle patent number 2173576 was filed on Nov. 8, 1937. The patent covers the striker and the rebounding hammer.
The patent was filed by Nicholas L. Brewer and was assigned to Savage Arms. I don't know who or what part Mr. James Brown had in this rifle.
