When I was 10, my dad bought me a Savage carbine semi auto 22 from Woolco. The rifle was destroyed in a house fire in 1978, I have tried to identify it by what I remember about it but haven't gotten to far on it. Here is what I remember about it. It was semi automatic, blued barrel, rear sight was adjustable by two screws, it was short barrelled and had a tube magazine held 10 rounds, more of montecarlo style stock and was purchased in 1970. Would like to find out the model number so I can look around the net for a possible adoption into my family! Thank you gents and ladies too!

Thank you, Alpo. That is it. Now, I know the 2 22 rifles that I used as a kid. My dad's was a HR Leatherneck and mine which is the Savage model 90, both were destroyed in our house when it burned down. Mine was pristine few scrapes on the wood, my dad's was a shooter darn accurate. He shot it for decades without a rear sight, just the front blade.
