I have been wanting to pick one of these up and today I got one for my G17

    It's a good heavy magazine
    It feels rock solid

I loaded it till the 17 round indicator window was full and it held exactly 17

The floor plate is beefy and comes off with the push of the recessed button

I can't wait to run it through my gun
I'll report back when it do

As for a benchtop review , I'm impressed

I have been using MagPul AR magazines for years and I wouldn't hesitate in buying a handgun magazine made by them.

I bought two for my Glock® 21, and they were stiff and hard to load... at first. After a few uses, they eased up nicely.

I saw a you-tube review on these and it was quite positive. I wouldn't hesitate buying them.

When I pulled mine apart I wiped the spring with a light coat of Rem oil

I know I am not in the loop very much, but I didnt know magpul was branching out so much from AR mags. They also make an AICS style mag that I can use in my Savage FCP-SR. It's half the cost of an actual AICS mag, so I am definitely looking at them. Especially for hunting, the plastic will be more comfortable than the cold metal with sharper edges.

Mag Pul is one of those companies that has a excellent reputation. Well deserved IMHO. Everything they produce performs equal to or better than OEM. Wish they would make mags for M1As and mini 14s.

Great info, buying AICS mags gets expensive quick! Ill have to research them for my Savage Stealth.

My MP AR mags have been great so id be glad to stash some Glock and AICS mags if i can find some.

I ordered one a while back. I still have not put it in my rifle to see about the fit. I will do that my next day off, which will be in 4-5 days, and report back. Initially out of the package, it looks good, has a good weight, and comes apart easily. The follower has a tab you can break off the bottom to make it hold 6 rounds instead of 5, which I did immediately just because I could.

I went to their web-site looking for the Savage compatible magazine, and couldn't find it.

So their a no-go for the newer Savage 10's? I put one in cart from midway nite b4 last.

My stealth mag looked a little diff than the FCP-SR although im sure they are the same. Just appeared to be diff for some reason.

From what I have read, they will not if you have one with the black stock. I beleive they have changed to a bottom metal that they make themselves and do NOT use an AICS spec mag well.
