Marlin Model 39 and other Marlin Lever Action Model Designation Data

    I've seen the 57M go for up to $750 on ********* for an unfired version. Normal used but good condition guns sell for anywhere from $400 to $550.

    For a very high quality, but usually reasonably priced 3/4 inch scope, I would suggest the Weaver J2.5. Check the on-line auctions, and expect to pay from $50 to $75 for one in very good to excellent condition. It won't be a bright as a more modern scope since they never had coated lenses, but it should be sharp as a tack. I have about 8 of them and they are all I could ask for a vintage .22 hunting type scope.

    Great classic American rifle.I would just love to own one.Who knows maybe someday.They sure aren't getting any cheaper for a really nice one.
