To All:
I wanted to share some photos of the MHR Mark II I brought back from Afghanistan Jul of this year.
The manufacturing dates for this Mark, and its being located in AF, are consistent with possible use in Second Anglo–Afghan War, 1878-1880.
Fakes abound, and are usually easy to recognize. However, since Afghan merchants have access to the internet just like we do and know what a collector is looking for, they can produce astonishing "reproductions."
My question for the pros on this site. Can anyone tell me from pictures attached if this is an authentic MHR-II?
I have other photos and can provide to assist.
Thanks,
Gm
