I went through the Texas panhandle on my way to Tombstone AZ. Arizona and Texas are where I would move to if I could get out of here.

Oh my goodness; They do exist! I have only ever seen them on old cartoons as a kid, and I remember the song.

I never considered moving somewhere because of the cold. In fact when my dream finally came to pass it was Wyoming we went to. Oh how I loved it out there!!!!!!!!! Well...all our family is here and the guilt I felt was overpowering so back to Missouri we came.

Now, some 14 years later my Mom & Dad are gone and my wife's are on their last legs. A couple nights ago my wife and I were talking about the weather with some friends and moving to a warmer clime came up. Never in my wildest dreams did I think such a move would ever be a consideration but....I've gotten older. South Texas is looking rather inviting to this ol' Ozark hillbilly. A couple of my friends are already down there. Since Texas owes a lot to Missouri because of Stephen Austin.......:D.......you guys got room for Missouri, Christian conservative?

The Palouse country was infested with the Russians when a load of barley seed was brought here by a farmer in the 1970's. My link above says a plant has 61,700 seeds in it.
Y's acres sprays every acre with some nasty smelling juice to combat this nauseous weed, as you can see in the pic, my son is getting ready to KILL EM WITH FIRE WATER.

Use a tank mix of herbicides with at least two mechanisms of action that are effective for Russian-thistle control –Huskie + 2,4-D or MCPA –StaraneNXT –Rave –Dicamba+ 2,4-D.

No tumble weeds in Moss Hill. But why do you drive all the way to Moss Hill for boudin? Once you get past Beaumont it should be just about everywhere.

The wated is gone, just in Texas.

The run was successful, no tumbleweeds and great boudin. We stopped in Cleveland at a little rundown cafe that always has it's parking lot full, The Ranch Hand Cafe, best chickenfried steak I ever ate, I had enough left over for another meal. If you get through there you must try it, it's on Hwy 105 just east of town going east on your left.

I got caught in one of those windy tumble weed days out in West Texas once. I was on a motorcycle, an all we could do find a place to stay. You might get away with driving in that in a car, or truck, but not on a motorcycle. Here's another Texas thing that won't stop you from riding thru it, but you have to go very slowly!

When I lived in SoCal, I would see them often blowing around.

Are you always there, or are you gone most of the time?
