The protest here in Athens last night was completely peaceful. It started about 5:30 and by 9:00 it all just kinda ended.

    Just wait.
We're at the tipping point. One more biggie is just around the corner and this place is going up in flames.
Right on! This is one of the biggest reasons so many of us felt the political sting of the Covid situation so strongly. The "purely scientific" reaction seemed to be on a sliding scale based on what side of the political spectrum you were on.
    We're in deep now.

There were about 100 protesters that tried to get a riot started in Knoxville Saturday night. They couldn't get the locals to join in the violence. Local police were able to get them split up into smaller groups and dispersed. Very little damage done.

They hit Boston last night. Mayor Walsh and Gov. Faker Baker chastised Pres. Trump because he spoke harshly of the protesters. Pair of idiots.

Don't have to worry too much about riots up here where i live. Not enough people to form a Riot group. Pretty easy to control a group of 3 or 4 scumbags mouthing off. plus lots of us have guns.:)

They tried to start problems out where I live but to many people threatened to open fire on looters. They did get some of the south side far suburban areas.

Maybe that's why they are so upset. They want a raise! $129.00 just ain't cutting it in today's riot/protester career field.

I think a lot of them are counting on the fringe benefits of looting to supplement their riot income.

Just got back from the grocery store.
Had to stand outside and wait in line. 6 feet apart, spread down the sidewalk. I can't go in there without a mask under full penalty of the law. When I get in there, if I go the wrong way down the aisle or stand to close, or otherwise don't comply. They could have me removed. This is the place I buy food. Comply or starve?
If I were at a different point in my life, today would have gone much differently.
I would have run up to the door, mask free, and barged in.
When they freaked out, I would have grabbed a brick and thrown it through the window while yelling "Floyd is dead and I'm protesting". Then I would have grabbed my groceries and left.
What could they have done? This is the course of action most officials in most cities are now in full announced support of.
