My serial number is tr 12 036885
I would like to know the year of manufacter if someone can help!

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas to all!!!
I have a mossberg silver reserve recently purchased, o/u 12 ga serial # tr 12 036885, can anyone tell what the year of this is or tell me where to find it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to TFF.
They started making them in 2005.And this is a made in Turkey shotgun.
With it not being a combo 12/20 I would say around 2006.
To know the exact date you can contact Mossberg.

Is the receiver of the 12/20 combo different? The reason I ask is I bought one with my $600 George Bush stimulus check (I stimulated my local economy:D).
The serial number falls into the dreaded firing pin breakage range, but I've never had any problems.
I just didn't know if I should send off to Mossberg and get a set of pins just in case.

Is this a O/U or S/S ? Did you buy it new? or used?From a dealer or privet party?

O/U, Silver Reserve 12/20 Combo. Bought new from my local Ace Hardware.
Ser # TR 12 0424XX
I do not shoot trap, skeet, etc. It does not get fired often.
