Posted the story over on Brand X but here's the mutt for your viewing.

Alright then, here's the whole thang fer ya.

It all paid off this morning! I found me a nice spot not to far from the highway just at the mouth of the Sheep Hole Pass on the Wonder Valley side and pulled up some earth for a seat. I put the caller out and got the locator tape going as I fumbled with my gear. Note to self: "Fumble with gear before turning on caller." Just as I finished fumbling with my gear I saw movement upwind, two coyotes moving downwind. ARGHHHHH, my gun is pointed the wrong damn way!! The number one yote surely was the female so after we stared down at 120 yds she went on her way, the second dog picked up where number one left off. As number two started to go into my bore line I raised up to my shoulder and gave a quiet "wuf". Dog 2 stopped and "BANG" dang 22-250 sounded like Naval gunfire in them mountains! Dog went down other dog made tracks for another county and I started smiling so hard it was near bout painful. Turns out to be a female I shot. Who ever heard of a female in heat following? Only thing I can figure is that they both females.

Of course I use my own "handrolled" bullets. I'm to spoilt to shoot anything else.
