Looks nice, Ruger makes a quality firearm. You gonna put a "newbie mark" on it right away or wait a while?

    :p:)

I've always heard that mark referred to at the "idiot mark".

Me too. Highboy called it the newbie mark in a recent video, that's what I'm kidding him about.

Oh, your so funny. I did not know you watched my videos. You crack me up.

For you, maybe I will put a big old huge mark on it. But then again, it sure is a purdy pistola.

Im in the marked for a new colt 1911, looking at the series 70. Any thoughts on this being a good choice or should I be looking at something else?

Right now I am in the shopping around mode for a new 1911. At the moment it is a toss up between the Ruger and the Taurus. Both are in the right price range for me. though the Taurus is a little less expensive unless I get the Taurus with the P Rail. At least I get a 10% Discount almost where ever I buy a gun locally, Cabelas included. $a little over $700 after 10% discount at Cabelas. The Taurus without P rail will be about $470 After Discount at BassPro. I may have just made my choice, would the Taurus be a terrible choice? I have handled both and both feel sweet to me. Trigger pull seemed a bit smoother and lighter on the Taurus.

For me, Taurus is ok for a revolver. For the 1911, it would be the ruger all the way.
