Need butt plate for Remington 581 but I think 580 or 582 will also work......Thanks...........Redworm.............

I happen to have a 582. Buttplate is the same, as is a lot of the parts. The main difference is that the 580 is a single, 581 is a box mag style, and the 582 is a tube feed mag.

By the way if you break or lose the rear sight its a pain in the rear to find one, we looked fer bout 6 yrs afore we got it.

Yer welcome. Glad to help that's the only bolt I love to shoot! Yeah they are great guns. My grandpa bought 5 new in '69 fer my dad and his 3 brothers and sister. I learned to shoot on dads while he held it fer me, then we went **** huntin with it and I had to carry and shoot the ***** with it. It looks pretty beat up but he wouldn't give it to me while I was in my teens and I asked fer it So we found one a few years later that wasn't so beat up. Now my daughter is learnin to shoot a .22 with mine. AND no I will not give her mine either

Greetings lonewolf............I placed an order for a butt plate last night. You sure made it easy. The 580 series of rifles are great shooters. Mine is not as picky with ammo as my tuned up 10/22..............When it warms up I'll have them both at the range.........thanks again........Redworm...............

When you receive it, it may not be just a "drop in" installation. You may have to fit it. Let us know if you need help.
