Hello - I'm new to this site and I was told that it is a good source of information on firearms. My father brought this Walters home from the war and I would like to find out a little history behind it and also get an approximate value as I would like to sell it. It has been sitting in my gun case for 20 years, and I really don't use it. The bluing is pretty faded as shown in the pictures, but the gun is in pretty good shape - no pitting on the metal.
I was told at a gun show that it does have the Nazi acceptance stamp, and that it was probably an officers gun, as infantry would have used a 9 mm. Anyway, that's about all I know. I've attached some pictures of the gun which should help someone that is familiar with this pistol.
Thanks, Kevin
