I have an uncle that found a coin that says THE FRANKLIN MINT and has Benjiman Franklin on the front. It is dated 1973. On the back it has a eagle sitting on a sheild with what looks like a horse and a bear on it. It is like a bronzeish color and about the size of a half dollar. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you to anyone that does.

Sounds like a commmenorative bronze medal to me. The Franklin Mint often puts out this type, though rather infrequently.

Thats the coin, thanks alot he-bear. Still need a price though, cuz I get half if it's over $1000.

Gotta correct myself. The one I have is 1973, not '79.

Mr. Nameless, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but the Franklin Mint coins are not really worth anything as a collectors piece. The coin is not legal tender and therefore it is really not a coin but more of a medallion. That particular one is worth less than $10.
