wow.. I've seen 40's.. never 48's though!

got them loaded up the last 10 or so get a little hard to put in, not bad. The mags were a little tight, just worked in and out about 3 times and that took care of it. they are polymer.

I will shoot out a couple of them to see how they feed all the way through. they look pretty bad %^& too me, I hope they function just as good.

damn, those are huge and clumsy! but fun I bet...

I'd probably do a drum by that point. the 40 rounders, many of them were made from chopping 30 rounders and frankensteining them together, most failed often. At least these look like they will function properly.
wow.. almost too big.

are the floor plates metal or plastic?

I was some extende dmags made for an ak using 2 30's once, welded together it looked like.

i have some stock 4 rounders.. maybee korean?

they seem to feed fine.

i have seen those frank'd ones. i can't help but think they might have an issue.

i think if I neede dmor ethan 40 at a time.. a drum is needed.

same with an ar15... though I have seen those 60 round mags that have the normal neck, then go tripple or quad stack past the mag well area. thing is.. they are sooo spendy. for the cost of a coule of them you could get a drum mag and a 30.. :)
I think they will work, I just wonder how long. I think the spring would have to wear out quicker going from that much tension to very little all the time. I have a bunch of 30's and 2 20's, I just wanted to try these out. I will let you know if they function ok when it warms up a bit.

Awaiting range report! They do look big!
The thing I like about the long mag's is that you can carry them on you easily if you needed to. I think 4 mags would be easier to carry around than a couple drums.
and you can play criquet with the mags if you forget a mallet :)
Fleetwood, how do you like your Zastava Pap? I have the same one I'm working on right now.
always wanted a mak90 ..hmm... :)
Started out kindof bad with the Zastava pap and my new mags today. Couldn't even get the bolt to close. I held the new mag up to the ones that came with the gun and noticed some differences in the feeding lips and did some shaving with the dremel. After some fine tunning and final sanding with fine sand paper, she ran like a sewing machine. I went ahead and costumized four of the new ones. I am going to hold on to 2 of them and see what happens with this magazine laws if any.

To be fair, I had to grind a little off the lips of the metal mags that came with the zastava to get it to run right.

So, Street bob, to answer your question, I love the Zastava, It just seems to be picky on mags. once you get the mags altered to feed 100% of the time, it is a great accrurate riffle.
i had a plastic mag one time that had such weird feed lips.. if I put it in it would jamb or not strip rounds..

Nice mags but man you need to clean your monitor.

And this is from a guy with a ball gag in his mouth as his profile pic...:D
drum would locate the weight in a better location. But at $14.00 a mag WTF
dang...
Hmmm. I recall the instructor from my CCW class saying that a semi automatic firearms with a magazine of greater than a 31 rd capacity was considered to be an automatic weapon. Yeah, it sounds absurd, but that's why I remember it. I thought it was federal law but maybe that's only an Ohio law.
it's an absurd law....
