I got 2 carbon cleaning rod yesterday in the mail.
    Today I tried them out.

    WOW

The patches came out clean for a change.

Must have been the aluminum rods I had been using that was leaving crude in the barrel.

I always used the brass rods until I read an article stating that too much cleaning would damage your firearm. So I changed my cleaning procedure to only cleaning when I saw the accuracy drop. I changed over to the pull through snakes & occasionally an oiled patch on the rod if I was going to store the firearm.
