Fine American examples of price gouging to take advantage of people in a bad situation. When 9mm gets more expensive than 223 and 556, there’s a problem.

I saw 5,000 small pistol primers for 500.00 plus and people still bidding. Unbelievable!

I just received 3000 large rifle (CCI 200) primers yesterday from Natchez; $31.99 per 1000. I didn't check stock on the pistol primers, since I have a decent stock on hand, and little time to reload. I don't want to be too greedy.

I was never a 9mm guy until recently. If Walther made the PPS or CCP in .40 or .45 ACP I still wouldn't be. So, my stock of 9mm isn't as large as I'd like. I'm buying 400-500 rounds a week at work. Mostly ball ammo. Amazing how many people are asking for "practice ammo." They are under the impression ball ammo can't be used for SD. I've heard them say "it's just for practice, it won't kill anyone." (Yes, people are THAT stupid) I'm not paying the outrageous prices some retailers are demanding for 9mm. Got other options.

Seems like life is easier if you shoot calibers other people aren't that interested in.

What’s hard to find right now is small pistol and rifle primers.Plenty of powder if you look for it.Bullets are getting hard to find locally.Extreme still has them online but they all went up just a few dollars so far.

I wish I had your sources. 1,000 rounds of 9mm would do me good right now.

I was wondering the same. I haven’t looked at online prices for a couple of weeks because it’s been too depressing.

If you can hit it right, Bass Pro and Cabela's will have great prices on all handgun ammo. I've purchased 380, 9mm and 45 for $0.40/round or less over the past month. This is online and I always buy in cases if possible

Cabela's will no longer ship to folks in Illinois. We tried it last week.

Yesterday I ran across one box of small pistol primers at small old hardware store in the middle of nowhere for $37. Snapped them up and sold the to a friend that needed some for exactly what I paid for them o_O It was crossed my mind to throw them online and make some quick cash, but I don't like scalpers.
