...for my Interarms American Eagle (Navy) 30 Luger straight grip Parabellum. I’ve been enamored w/Lugers since I was a kid...always wanted one! At 72, I finally got a 2nd best (?) example. Retirement income put true Lugers, much less Cartridge Counter examples out of reach.

The Interarms straight grip frame (w/o fore-grip swell) has always looked odd, so I fabricated an insert to cosmetically (not attached to the frame) fill out the true Luger grip frame contour.

I figured I could mill a slot in a “regular magazine to mate with a set of over the counter CC grip blanks. I quickly found the magazine Steel to be too hard.

On to plan B... using 2 different thicknesses of clear Lexan, I fitted them to the milled grip channel. Thin window laid directly on the # register MS Word let me choose a similar-to-original font style, printed on aged paper. The thicker Lexan window (mounted flush w/the checkered surface finished my faux CC grips. Not a true CC Luger, but I like the look. Labor intensive...yup...not a true CC...yup...not a “true Luger...yup, but as close as this “retiree” on a fixed income can manage.

I’ve wanted one for the last year or so to.Just shopping around for a nice one for around $1800.00 bucks.I have even looked at the Interarms Amerrican Eagles. My only worry is buying one with jamming issues and spending that much money.
Nice gun!
Well maybe someday.
FT85, good luck RE: a CC Luger. Insofar as the American Eagle, I’ve had mine 2+ years & other than caliber/straight grip frame, I love it! Fit/finish is flawless! Navy bbl length ++! I paid about that for mine...(too much!), but it was 99%.

Gotta’ love Chenaults AV fliers
