Is there collector interest in the cleaning tools that the factory furnished in the trap butt on Mauser sporting rifles? I was surprised to find this equipment in a rifle I recently bought, especially in view of it's having been there since 1914.
I have a little collection of gun tools. They are interesting to some collectors such as myself. As you observed, finding the original tools still in thee buttrap is rare. I suspect you will get more value from your Mauser if you keep the tools in the rifle. The amount you might get from selling the set seperately would not justify seperating them from the rifle.
