I have a Marlin 25MN that never died ;). Not sure how similar they are but it seems to be a decent rifle, only fired it once. It had a what looked like a $5 scope mounted but luckily I found a Marlin scope, 3 Power I believe that not only is better but I think it’s cool having the rifle/scope match.

Keep us posted on your progress.

I did that with a Marlin I gave my BIL one Christmas. He liked it, and I managed to corrupt him from his liberal antigun ways. He now owns several guns.
So, Marlins are a "Gateway Gun"...... Haha!

    I'm a rather high-mileage unit myself.

Looks like the bolt is missing. I've got one I bought new back in the 80's with a 3-9 Bushnell on it that's older than the gun. Stay away from mags that have a plastic follower if you can. Stock up on them if that's all you can get.

I have the bolt. It is soaking in oil. It sat barrel up in a garage for 28 years. Barrel is plugged up aswell. I'll get it up and shooting.

Should I be posting a self portrait? You must be referring to me when you made such a definitive statement:p
