Hi, first time poster here.

My family recently was given an old Shotgun from a family friend who passed away. Unfortunately little is known about the gun, here are the pictures. If you have any questions about it let me know and I can try and answer it.

All I can tell you from the photographs is that the gun was made in England. Can tell that by the proof marks. Is there any name or marking on top of the barrels or lock plates?

Does anyone have any idea what kind of gun this is or what its worth? Is there any chance that this gun is worth a lot or is there not much of a chance of that.

The gun is well worn and there's little collector interest in old anonymous double hammer shotguns, maybe $100-$150 as a decorator.

There were at least a half-dozen English gunmakers named Fields. It is not safe to shoot with modern shells.
