The local gunshop has a Bulgarian AK47 that i am looking at. I've youtubed it and have seen quite a few good opinions about the ones in 7.62x39...and not so good reports on their 223 offering.

Anyone have any opinions on these rifles? Back when we could still get the Chinese Norinco AKs i thought they were the best but i guess we can no longer get chinese AKs anymore?

    Thoughts anyone?

In the mid priced line up, they are just fine. The only caliber is 7.62x39 in my single opinion. I shoot squirrels with a .22

I've heard from many people that own multiple AKs that the Arsenal rifles are excellent examples of an AK. I've handled a couple three of them and I was very impressed with the fit, finish, and workmanship on them. If I had the money, I'd love to get an Arsenal in 5.45x39.

If you want to find ammo for it, get one in 5.45x39.

Not overly interrested in that caliber...

I know the 7.62x39 is non existant right about now but i don't need another 22 caliber.

Wow, you can still get 7.62x39 here. It's gone up, and the lead core is sometimes hard to find, but the steel core is still rather plentiful. 5.45x39 is both still plentiful and (relatively) cheap.
