Two weeks ago I called Optics Planet to inquire about something. Now they are blowing up my cell phone with text messages about sale items, with as much as five text messages per day. I didn’t give them permission to send me text messages, and now when I call them they have a message saying that they will not answer phone calls and to correspond through their email. They have not honored my repeated requests. This is now blatant harassment. Because of this, I will never do business with Optics Planet. My next step is to contact the FCC, and report this form of harassment.

It's a good thing you didn't contact Classic Firearms about anything, I get up to six emails from them every day. I quit doing business with Optics Planet a couple of years ago, until yesterday when I broke down and ordered a "optics mount" for my PMR-30.

    Reply "Stop" to their text.

    It should end them.

We still have a land line. Anything I order online that requests a phone number, I use the land line.
The phone volume is turned off so I never hear anything.

    Land line for the win!
You call me, you usually get a machine. LEAVE A MESSAGE. Why is that so hard?

No problem! I did look around before I ordered, and they were the cheapest. Side note - I do hate adding sales tax to an internet order.

I did something on my phone 3 or 4 weeks ago, in the settings, but do not remember now what I did. I have not gotten a spam call of any kind in over three weeks now. There are calls that show up on my phone as missed and I know I never heard the phone ring. I mentioned it to my grandson this morning and he said his was doing the same thing and then he reminded me that we did something to block them. I think it is a Verizon thing but not 100% sure of that either. I wish I could remember.

Can’t, the text is a link to their website.

I blocked their phone number from their website. Hopefully it’s the same number they send text from.
