I hope this is the proper place to ask questions about the Para LDA. I have been considering getting one and would like to get some honest feedback on pros and cons... likes, dislikes etc. It appears to me that it would be an excellent CCW design. I am well aware of the proponents of the condition 1... I just see the LDA as one more layer of safety that may or may not be needed. The only first thought I came up with is how do you know if the gun is "cocked" without the obvious indicator (hammer back on conventional 1911). Any input appreciated.

    9mm or .45 ACP??
I personnally own a 14.45 LDA LTD and wrote a short post on it back on 12/11/09.
I think it would be a fine choice for ccw....maybe a bit heavy w/ a full mag. of .45 ACP in the gun. Oh....but the trigger.....probably without doubt...the finest in a factory offering.
I don't use mine for ccw.......just range shootin', combat course shootin', and it really works great for that application....and has good accuracy, and handles all types of bullet's without issues..
I just really like mine...and think its a great 45 ACP pistol.
